All ECCA trophies are perpetual and cannot be won outright
TIME TRIALS

Men's B.A.R. (The “Caspian” Cup). Presented by E. E. J. Pickering Esq. (Vice President in 1956) and awarded to the winner of the Men's Best All Rounder Championship. The Championship will be decided on riders' average of average speed over 50 and 100 miles and 12 hours. Eligible events shall be the ECCA events and any Open events held on a course within the jurisdiction of London East and East Districts of CTT and a limited number of specified promoted in London North, London South and South-East Districts of CTT. A rider must enter and start in at least two ECCA events before becoming eligible for the Championship.

Ladies' B.A.R. (The “Bates” Trophy). Presented by Mrs E. G. Bates in 1958 and awarded to the winner of the Ladies' Best All Rounder Championship. The Championship will be decided on riders' average of average speed over 10, 25 and 50 miles. Eligible events shall be the ECCA events and any Open events held on a course within the jurisdiction of London East and East Districts of CTT and a limited number of specified promoted in London North, London South and South-East Districts of CTT. A rider must enter and start in at least two ECCA events before becoming eligible for the Championship.

Junior B.A.R (The “Eddie Bolton Memorial” Trophy). Subscribed for by members in remembrance of the past Secretary and awarded to the winner of the Junior Best All Rounder Championship. The Championship will be decided on riders' average of average speed over two 10 miles and one 25 miles events. Eligible events shall be the ECCA events and any Open events held on a course within the jurisdiction of London East and East Districts of CTT and a limited number of specified promoted in London North, London South and South-East Districts of CTT. A rider must enter and start in at least two ECCA events before becoming eligible for the Championship.

Veterans B.A.R. (The “Maud and Bill Temme Memorial” Trophy). Bequest by W. E. Temme Esq. and awarded to the winner of the Veterans' Best All Rounder Championship. The Championship will be decided on the aggregate difference between the rider's actual average speed and the average speed of the relevant VTTA Standard at 25, 50 and 100 miles. The relevant VTTA standard is calculated from the VTTA tables applicable to the appropriate distance and a rider's actual age on the day of the qualifying ride. Eligible events shall be the ECCA events and any Open events held on a course within the jurisdiction of London East and East Districts of CTT and a limited number of specified promoted in London North, London South and South-East Districts of CTT. A veteran is a rider of 40 years of age or over on the day of the event. A rider must enter and start in at least two ECCA events before becoming eligible for the Championship.

Eastern Counties Points Championship. Awarded to the rider accruing the highest number of points from six events, the qualifying events must include one from 100 miles or Open 12 hours (placing excluding riders not of the ECCA), one from 50 miles events and four from 10 or 25 miles events. The points being allocated in one point decrements from 150 points for first place, 149 points for second place and so on. In the event of a tie the trophy will be held jointly. Only events promoted by the ECCA will qualify, with the addition of promoted in London East District of CTT.

“Pickering” Short Distance Trophy. Presented by E. E. J. Pickering Esq. (Vice President) in 1976 and awarded to the winner of the ECCA Short Distance competition. The award shall be made to the rider accruing the highest number of points from six events at distances up to and including 25 miles, excluding the Hill Climb, the points being allocated in one point decrements from 100 for first place to 50 for fifty-first and all subsequent places. Only ECCA events apply.

Handicap Championship (“F. V. Banks” Memorial Trophy). Silver cup subscribed for by members in remembrance of the past Chairman. Awarded to the ECCA rider winning the Handicap Championship. The Championship shall be decided on average of average speed of handicap times over 25, 50 and 100 miles. Only events promoted by the ECCA will qualify, with the addition of promoted in London East District of CTT.

Men's B.A.R. Team (“Simpson” Trophy). Presented by Messrs L. Simpson Ltd. in 1935 and awarded to the winners of the Men's Best All Rounder Team Championship. The Team Championship will be decided on average of average speed of three members of the same Club who shall have qualified under the conditions laid down for the individual Men's Best All Rounder Championship.

Ladies B.A.R. Team (“George Hunter” Trophy). Presented by Mrs Seymour in 1977 and awarded to the winners of the Ladies' Best All Rounder Team Championship. The Team Championship will be decided on average of average speed of two members of the same Club who shall have qualified under the conditions laid down for the individual Ladies Best All Rounder Championship.

The “Zak Carr” Trophy. Presented by S. T. Broom in remembrance of Zak Carr and awarded to the ECCA rider recording the fastest time in the Championship 10 miles event.

The “Brunwin” Cup. Presented by D. W. Brunwin (Vice President) in 1960 and awarded to the ECCA Male rider recording the fastest time in the Championship 25 miles event.

The “Mrs Florence Lang Memorial” Trophy. Purchased as a remembrance of the late Mrs F. Lang and awarded to the ECCA Lady rider recording the fastest time in the Championship 25 miles event.

The “30” Cup. Presented by R. H. Grimsell (Vice President) in 1977 and awarded to the ECCA rider recording the fastest time in a 30 miles event previously nominated by the ECCA.

The “Beauchamp” Trophy. Awarded to the ECCA rider recording the fastest time in the ECCA 50 miles event.

The “Allondon” Trophy. Presented by the Allondon C.C. and awarded to the ECCA rider recording the fastest time in the ECCA 100 miles event.

The “100 Miles” Shield. Purchased in 1951 and awarded to the ECCA Club Team of three riders recording the fastest aggregate time in the ECCA 100 miles event.

The “Dunlop” Cup. Presented by the Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd. in 1959 and awarded to the ECCA rider recording the greatest distance in the ECCA 12 hours event.

The “12 Hour” Shield. Purchased in 1951 and awarded to the ECCA Club Team of three riders recording the greatest aggregate distance in the ECCA 12 hours event.

The “John Norris” Cup. Presented by friends in 1980 and awarded to any rider who is 21 years of age or younger in the year in which he or she completes the ECCA 12 Hour event. If there is more than one rider meeting the age criteria, then the Trophy will be awarded to the rider in this age group who covers the greatest distance in the event. If no persons age 21 or younger complete the Association's 12 hour event then the Trophy will be awarded to the rider who covers the greatest distance in the group of those finishers who have never ridden any 12 hour previously.

“Ernie Hussey” Cup. Awarded to the winner of the ECCA Hill Climb.

“Festival” Team Trophy. Awarded to the winners of the Points Team Competition in the ECCA Festival weekend.

ROAD RACING

The “Stapleford Tawney” Trophy. Presented by R. H. Grimsell (Vice President) in 1948 and awarded to the winner of the ECCA Senior Road Race Championship.

TRACK

The “Raleigh” Cup. Presented by the Raleigh Cycle Co. Ltd. in 1939 and awarded to the winner of the ECCA 5 or 10 miles Track event.

The “Hetchins” Trophy. Presented by A. Hetchins in 1977 and awarded to the best-placed ECCA rider in the Under 16 (Youth A) Omnium Track Championship. If no qualifying ECCA competitor in Youth A, then Youth B and then Youth C will be used. (6-5-4-3-2-1 points for ECCA riders in the group being used to calculate result).

The “M.A.D.” Shield. Presented by the Maldon & District C.C. in 1977 and awarded to the Club gaining the highest aggregate on points in the ECCA Under 16 (Youths A, B, C) Omnium Track Championships. (6-5-4-3-2-1 points for ECCA riders in each age group).

The “Rothmans” Trophy. Presented by Rothmans Ltd. in 1977 and awarded to the winner of the Senior Track Championship.

The “Tiny Johnson” Cup. Awarded to the Club gaining the highest aggregate of points in the Junior and Senior Track Championships (if sufficient entries received for Veterans events, these will also qualify).

The “W. J. Bailey” Cup. Awarded to the winner of the Junior Track Championships.

The “Dot Marsh” Trophy. Presented by Mrs Marsh in 1986 and awarded to the winner of the Ladies' Track Championship.

SOCIAL

The “F. V. Banks” Memorial Trophy. Subscribed for by members in remembrance of the past Chairman. Awarded to the Club Team winning the Annual Map Reading Competition.
